First OOTD

I am undecided as to whether to make this a regular thing. However it is long overdue for my first OOTD.

My dog seems to get in all my posts!

My dog seems to get in all my posts!

I’m wearing:

Leopard print Crop Top: River Island

Burgundy/Wine Midi skirt: Primark £5

 Black Ballet Shoes: Primark

Handbag: Next £25.

Shall I do more OOTD’s ? Or what else would you like to see?

I really struggle to put outfits together, most of the time clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery is left thrown across my bedroom floor when I’m deciding what to wear. So any website or App that can help me put an outfit together seems like a great thing to me (and saves me tidying up later.) So today I want to talk about a recent discovery I made, a website that will save my clothes from being left on the floor called Stylight.

Stylight is an online fashion community where you can put together ‘looks’ or mood boards to create an outfit. You can see other peoples looks, what’s trending and also add things from their database to create an altogether look.

It’s easy to use and I love that I can use it for a bit of inspiration when I’m struggling to plan an outfit.  You can even add quotes and music to your looks which I think is a really good idea.  You can even add your own photos too.

A thing I also like about the site is as your browsing products you can ‘heart’ products and they appear on your profile. It’s so easy to do and it’s quite addictive.

Here is a look I put together:

I need to have a bit more of a play around with it, but I definitely think it’s a good idea so far.

Do you use Stylight? What do you think?

Recent Bargains.

I am never usually very successful in sales or in just finding bargains.  However after a recent (successful) shopping trip I thought I should update you on the bargains I found.

I was rather impressed at finding these items as usually I come away empty handed or pay the full price, then find a few weeks later that the item is now reduced. My Puppy; Sky, was desperate to help me when I was photographing the items so I thought she deserved her picture here.

Let me know what bargains you have found recently!

What’s in my handbag tag.

I’ve wanted to do the ‘what’s in my bag tag’ for a while now and I’ve finally got round to it.

Firstly two confessions:

  1. I swap and change my handbags around so much, so this time next week I will probably be using another one.
  2. I carry so much useless junk around with me.

We are finally having some nice weather in the UK and so I have just swapped to what I like to call my ‘Summer Bag.’ I think it’s just the colour that makes me think this, but either way I will always bring this bag out when the weather’s nice.

This bag was from River Island a while a go and is a good size for all the essentials!

From left to Right:

Umbrella – You can never ever predict British weather and so this goes everywhere with me

Notebook– I like the comic book print on this and you never know when you need to jot something down.

Mini Perfume – From Avon. I seem to keep a lot of  things in miniature size in my bag.

Blonde Bobby Pins – That end up EVERYWHERE.

Ipod – Goes everywhere with me, even just to play Sudoku on it (I’m a little bit addicted.)

Radley Purse – Always full of receipts and never money.

MUA Foundation – The MUA range from Superdrug is affordable and of decent quality and so I always keep a spare in my bag.

Compact Mirror.

Vaseline in Rose Tint – My essential beauty item.

Chewing Gum and pens

Flip video camera – I have a fear that I’ll need to video something desperately and hate the video quality on my phone. I hardly use this camera, but I still insist bringing it everywhere. Why!?

Balance Me Lipgloss – A free gift, but it is a wonderful lipgloss.

Contact Lenses case

MUA Concealer stick

Barry M Nail Varnish- No idea why this is in my bag.

Miniature Eyeliner pencil- Yet another miniature!

Jergens Moisturiser – Another free gift, but it goes everywhere with me. It smells lovely.

Surprisingly after carrying around this lot everyday I don’t have an abnormally muscular arm! What do you keep in your bag?

Now I love anything that is a bit quirky and a little bit different, especially when it comes to t-shirts and so this definitely ticked the box.

It’s a ‘Goodie Two Sleeves’ t-shirt from, that have a range of different and unusual t-shirts, jumpers, jewellery, gifts and accessories, many of which reminded me of my childhood. I’d recommend taking a look!  This t-shirt cost £22.99 and I received it the next day, which impressed me (and the free sweets I got with it.)

I could have bought many other t-shirts from there, but I’m trying to cut down on the amount of clothes I currently buy as I’m running out of space.

This is my new favourite t-shirt….well for the moment anyway!

The 90s are back!

So 90’s fashion is making a comeback.

Now I don’t mean this.

That rucksack that you had to blow up before you could use it.

Or this.

I still don’t understand the point of tracksuit bottoms with poppers, but they were all the rage. And yes I did own a pair

Or even this.

Jelly Shoes, that have tried to make a come-back over the years and I recently spotted a variation of them in New Look. But  hopefully they’ll  stay far away. (Fingers crossed!)

But this….

Crop Tops.

They’re are all over the high street, but yes they were popular in the 90’s.

Dungarees are so unflattering, but there is just something about them that makes them a bit of fun to wear.

Will definitely lighten up any plain outfit.

My Top 10 Favourite Fashion buys ever…

This has been a difficult task reducing it to just ten items, but after some careful consideration, here are my favourites..

1. Blue shirt dress with cut out top (Missguided.) This dress is so versatile, it can be dressed up or down and the cut out style makes it more unusual.

2. White blouse with neck tie. (Primark.) I bought this top so long ago now that I can’t remember the price of it, but I simply adore it. It is so easy to dress up or down.

Primark White Blouse

3. Black, textured turtle neck Midi dress (Bank, currently on offer for £15.) This dress is a staple item in my wardrobe. It is so simple but can be dressed up with statement jewellery for a night out.

4. Lace black boots with bows. (Miss Selfridge £55.) The heel is about 6 inches on these shoes and although they are nowhere near the most comfortable pair of heels, they are a gorgeous pair of shoes. I’ve just noticed they are currently on offer for £20 on the Miss Selfridge website, which I’d definitely get snapped up!

Black Lace Boots

5. Black Molly Jeggings (River Island £35.) I live in these jeggings, they are so comfy and are such good quality that they look like jeans. Yet again they are another item that can be dressed up or down.

8. White double tongue Converse (Schuh £45.) I love how comfy converse are and as you can see from the picture, these trainers have had quite a lot of wear out of them. However I would not recommend the white ones if you struggle to keep them clean, like me.

9.Parisian white Flower shorts (New Look (£19.99.) I find these are too short to wear without tights or leggings, but I simply love the print on them, they are a little bit different.

10. Black lacey blouse (Primark.) I love that lace is in fashion now, it such a lovely feminine style. I style this top with a pair of skinny jeans and heels.
